Home / The Edit Lighting Solutions Between light and shadow: Introducing Break Plus Designed to blend instinctively with the architecture in which it exists, Break Plus converts any wall into a three dimensional mural. Arranged individually or as a group, it consists of four geometric volumes that cast beams of diffuse light upwards, downwards -or in both directions- creating a dynamic dialogue between light and shadow.Transitional lighting is primarily functional and, as such, often lacks character. The work of lighting designer, Xuclà, Break Plus offers a subtle yet striking solution to the challenge of superior pathway illumination. An extension of the existing Break collection, the wall sconce is characterised by its stylized silhouette, presented in four distinct models. Break Plus is designed individually to connect as a whole, giving the designer the tools to create unique compositions that provide spatial depth and aesthetic plasticity to an otherwise flat surface. Each unit incorporates an invisible LED light source, controlled by either an on-off or Dali control system for intensity regulation. Light washes upwards or downwards across the surface of the wall, reflected from the interior of the volume and directed by the edge of the opening at either end. When grouped together, these opposing beams interact with each other to establish a delicate pattern of oblique lines. Break Plus is available in four natural Chromatica colours, suitable for a range of outdoor environments. The palette includes a primer, allowing for infinite colour possibilities and guaranteeing seamless adaptation to the surface upon which it is mounted. The collection’s lacquered matte finish adds a natural, grainy texture that complements its clean, geometric expression. A singular study in high performance technology, Break Plus is designed to withstand all weather conditions. Surface mounted and easily maintained, its unique form prevents water from stagnating, making it the ideal choice for both private residential properties as well as larger commercial projects.
