Illuminating Large Spaces with Vibia’s Kontorno Wall Lamp

Designers typically rely on hanging lamps to illuminate large spaces because of the wide array of pendants on the market. The substantial silhouette of the Kontorno sconce, however, presents a unique alternative, as even a single luminaire can brighten an interior from the wall.

Kontorno’s metal version features a reflector formed from a gently curved aluminum sheet. Affixed to the wall by the minimalist black frame, it casts an indirect glow that lends it the look of raining light. Contemporary and architectural, it’s ideal for workplace settings and is offered in three sizes: 20 x 92 centimeters, 20 x 122 centimeters, and 20 x 162 centimeters.

The cylindrical mouthblown glass diffuser is also attached to the wall by the lean frame, which is visible only in profile. Characterized by a pure, timeless sensibility, it generates a warm, 360-degree glow as if from a fire, adding a romantic ambiance. It’s available in two sizes: 19 x 92 centimeters and 19 x 122 centimeters.

Kontorno provides personalised solutions to suit a range of large spaces. The luminaires can be deployed alone or in multiples of varying sizes, vertically or horizontally, depending on the individual setting. To create special moods, Kontorno offers a choice of colour temperatures: 2200K lends a warm, candlelit look; 2700K a natural, daytime feel; and 4000K a bright, sunlit effect. Dimming options complete the customisation and are available with DALI, push or Casambi systems.
