Home / The Edit Insights Uncovering the Vibia team’s new goals for the year ahead Setting new resolutions (or renewing existing ones) goes hand-in-hand with our desire to improve and move forward. Who amongst us hasn’t reached for higher goals, especially when it comes to the end of the year? We too at Vibia. So much so, that seven people from the team are sharing theirs, regarding professional and personal resolutions. From interesting challenges connected with work and the team to more personal goals, to do with family and friends. The key is in finding the balance between both, to help make them happen, because one depends on the other. The idea of Vibia Culture is already established within the team which Alexandra wants to develop. She is aware that it’s easier to implement it through shared values and leadership. That’s where she places her focus at work, while in her personal life it’s more about what makes her happy, “enjoying the present without ignoring the future, connecting with what’s important.” And her personal motto? “Less is more.”Alexandra Granero Chief People & Culture Officer CPO (People & Culture) Gamboa is very clear about his professional goals connected with Vibia: to achieve more efficient processes, more reliable data and a solid financial culture. And he’ll get there, for sure, thanks also to his personal goal for dedicating more of his free time to activities that foment wellbeing, because he knows that “a healthy balance helps maintain productivity and professional growth.” José Luis Gamboa Senior Accounting and Reporting He’s very focused. Marco is at Vibia to complete a mission: to disseminate the concept of wellbeing through lighting. He wants people to be really conscious of how it influences the sensations generated by the spaces they inhabit and their daily activities. And if Marco is very clear on his professional goal when it comes to his personal life he wants to be more disciplined: with health and time. “They are the greatest gifts to ourselves and the people we love.” And a motorcycle tour of Scotland is also on his personal agenda.Marco Maragoni Sales Director He considers each and every Vibia project a “challenging” experience for himself and an “excellent” one for clients. He aims to learn and explore unique and innovative solutions capable of transforming spaces and enriching people’s wellbeing. He finds all the inspiration he needs to nurture his curious mind for work in his day-to-day life outside of work. How? By fully embracing the exciting experience of being a first-time dad! And by catching up with missed sleep.David Latorre Product Development Director While his professional goals relate to on-going educational training in new technologies, like AI, to provide a more targeted and efficient support in the automation of repetitive tasks. As far as his personal life is concerned he’s determined to spend more time practising sports, more time with the important people in his life and finding genuine ways of disconnecting. In other words, “at what makes me feel good.” Where there’s a will there’s a way. A motivational two-handed challenge for the New Year.Javi Ginel Infrastructure Technician (IT) Pilar is aiming to learn the names of her work colleagues as her personal goal. The more the better … however, there are over 200! It’s not a prerequisite for fitting in but creates a good atmosphere and makes communication easier within the team. If, however, she manages to achieve her personal goals of doing more sport, she says it’ll stimulate the brain and help her with the names. And by the way, the Vibia HQ stairs count as part of this physical exercise she warns.Pilar de Alós Executive Assistant Like other skilled professionals working in communications all her resolutions are connected with (self) improvement in this area. In order to: tell stories that resonate, uncover new tools and helpful trends, create intentional and valuable content … For Míriam communication is all about “connecting ideas, people and projects,” but she also craves inspiration which she finds through travel. In terms of her personal life, she forces herself to travel more, including more hiking in the great outdoors, her way of “disconnecting a little form the day-to-day.”Míriam Díaz Communication Assistant Every goal reflects a motivational attitude and ambition to achieve this improved version of oneself, as an individual as well as part of the Vibia team. Sharing the same objectives to keep on learning and get enthusiastic about new professional projects is important, as is dedicating free time to things that make you feel good. A balanced life aids motivation; looking forward to the New Year holds the key to happiness. Share on Facebook Twitter Linkedin Pinterest Pinterest You may also like...
