Home / The Edit Projects Cutting-Edge Corporate Offices: Barcelona’s Social Point Located in the booming 22@Barcelona district—also known as the District of Innovation—Social Point recently reopened after a renovation of its offices by Matic & Garau Architects. A vibrant video games company with more than 50 million monthly users, the brand’s “work hard, play hard” ethos is echoed in an open floor plan that seamlessly incorporates both work and leisure areas. Throughout, contemporary lighting by Vibia illuminates a range of spaces, providing a perfect complement to clean-lined, modern furnishings. The Coffee Corners bar, an in-house café where informal meetings are frequently held, features the Jazz pendant designed by Diego Fortunato. Deployed in a single line to define the length of the communal table, the lacquered fixture offers direct downward light in a playful, undulating form. On the fourth floor are glass-enclosed workspaces for quiet concentration and privacy. Here, the architects opted for Jordi Vilardell’s Slim pendant, which emits a soft light that suits the intimate space. Refined and slender, a single suspended fixture serves as a sleek punctuation mark above the small table it illuminates. In the boardroom, the bespoke Halo Linea designed by Martín Azúa sprawls across the meeting table, lending the effect of light floating in air. At once simple and striking, the kinetic configuration of lean lines exudes creative energy and dramatic sculptural presence. Share on Facebook Twitter Linkedin Pinterest Pinterest
