The natural daylight coming through its impressive glazed façade, brings the open plan spaces alive, featuring several different Vibia light fittings, that add to the requested sensation of ambient wellbeing.Interior design projects for the office sector are increasingly becoming seen as an extension of residential spaces, prioritising the quality of life these spaces should convey. That is explained by the amount of time people spend in their workplaces daily, hence the importance of paying attention to all the details related to wellbeing, such as layout, materials, and, of course, lighting. The project for the Sartoriale real estate offices created by the DOS-G architectural practice is a clear example of what they themselves affirm: “More than an office this space is an extension of the brand’s thinking: a place where architecture and experience are interconnected to shape new concepts of habitability.” Inspired by hospitality of Italy (where the company comes from) the space accommodates both workers and visitors as if it were a home, a sensation that is perceptible in its different zones, establishing a rich dialogue where craft, tradition and custom design influence every detail. These values which are so important to Sartoriale are shared by Vibia, with several of their light fittings featured which not only add a distinctive aesthetic element with a nod to contemporary design that characterises the style of the office, but also highlight the ambience of each of the spaces where they are located, adding a unique functionality. The office layout includes an entrance area, a kitchen and dining area, a room with a projection screen and four workstations as well as a study and library. The Sartoriale offices are located within the upper floors of a modern skyscraper in Panama City, offering an extraordinary natural light filled setting thanks to the glazed façade that wraps around the building. The rectangular floor plan is organised around brightly lit spaces connected via semi-open vertical space dividers that allow natural light to pass through which alone transforms routine tasks into pleasant working experiences where each space is designed to encourage encounter, reflection and collaborative work. Over the dining table different constellations of light from the Cosmos collection, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, play with varying sizes to create a dynamic and elegant suspended optical illusion. The choice of colours for the different flat light fittings blends seamlessly with the interior design finishes of the project. A long work desk runs the entire length of the glazed façade accommodating several workstations, it’s equipped with various table lamps from the Africa collection whose silhouettes are placed against the panoramic skyline that forms the urban backdrop. Designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, it’s the ideal functional lamp for workspaces, portable and rechargeable. The straight lines which define the internal configuration, inspired by the façade compositions of Sartoriale’s own real estate projects, are combined with the rounded forms for the office furniture and decorative light fittings. A combination which together with the neutral tones of the colour palette and natural materials, generates an airy and warm atmosphere with a sensual feel and poetic touches. A custom designed space that accommodates decisions made by professionals in a comfortable and homely ambience.
